This is a UK/PRC319,
a British Special Forces
HF backpack transceiver that was manufactured in 1987.  It is a all solid state and microprocessor controlled radio. It covers 1.5 MHz to 40 MHz. Power levels are selectable, 5W or 50W. Modes are CW, USB and Data. It has a built in SWR indicator. This one puts out 40W or more,
plus it has EMP protection.
It has a Direct Conversion receiver and uses the 3rd Method of SSB generation.
It is perfect for your Sailboat, ECOMM Truck, ECOMM Command HQ, FEMA, MARS, SOTA, Pedestrian Mobile, Preppers, Winlink email, WSTJ FT8 etc.
It has 90% BITE (Built In Test Equipment) capability and it passes the BITE.
The Radio + Antenna Tuner +  Extender, LiIon Battery total pack weight is about 25 pounds.
The dimensions are 9 x 17 x 4 inches with the Tuner, extender and LiIon Battery attached.
The TCXO is highly stable (+/- 0.5 ppm) giving you exact 'on frequency' operation over the full Mil Temp range  (-31C to +55C). It is NTIA Approved. It will
operate on PSK, WSTJ and VARA.
It is a fixed frequency radio with 10 memories.
The radio is sealed from sand, dust, snow, water and goats, it is pretty robust and works great. This is a Real 'Green Radio'.

This package does NOT include:  The original data message unit (BA1304, EMU),   hand crank generator, CW key, or the original satchel.
It has been fielded by the UK SAS and has normal scrapes and scratches.
It is mounted on an ALICE Backpack and has the 319 - 7 segmented tapered whip (5971-112-6300)
and the whip mounting bracket (9571-113-0700).
