    Description

    We offer for your consideration this set of vintage 1940s U.S. Navy Aircraft radio equipment.
    Everything on the table is included.
    There are two radio receivers, both made by General Electric
    One type CG-46116 4 band,Serial number 240 (working unit).
    The other is type CG-46117 5 band serial number 1844 (Non Op as far as we know).
    As the plaque indicates these radios are units of the RAX-1 Aircraft radio equipment.
    So there two of the three Radio units used in the RAX-1 set-up.
    All the other devices are used in the support, and operation of the working unit.
    There is an external generic speaker.
    The headphones are labeled,
    "Receiver R-14, made by Consolidated Radio Prod. Co. for then Signal Corps U.S. ARMY"
    The Western Electric test unit is labeled
    Signal Corps U.S. ARMY Test Unit I-155-A  Serial No. 5078
    The other two pieces of equipment carry no labels or makers marks.
    They may have been home built to get the radio up and running.
    If you are a collector of WWII era radio equipment these radios will be very nice additions to your collection. Maybe you already have the CG-46115.
