Vintage "The Rex" Old Ham Radio Headset from Trimm, Co. WWII Era (Tested)

This very cool - and working - head-set was found with my father's Ecophone Commercial WWII radio. (I don't know if he used them during or after the war.) There are no cracks in the ear hubs. Rubber head over-the-head holder is flexible but has some minor blemishes. Now, I don't know enough about The Rex headsets to know whether this is the original wiring or not. It certainly looks original, with those clear plastic reinforcers where the wire meets the ear hub, but in many photos the wire is coated with cloth. I briefly tested the set by plugging it in the mic jack on my computer and heard some YouTube bossanova pretty clearly.
