PRC-77 WORKING, TESTED

Description

RT-841/PRC-77 Transceiver with what appears to be a  tag applied during an overhaul as no contract or mfr. is shown. Internally one can see that it is a Sentinel Electronics unit.  Some modules have been replaced but most are still Sentinel. It looks like the front panel has been repainted at one time. The MATES stencil on the body of the unit is an acronym for "

The internals are immaculate as is the case with these radios that are sealed from the elements when they are closed up.  This radio was tested per the specifications set fourth in the 11-5820-667-35 Tech Manual for thePRC-77. The tests performed were for power output and frequency accuracy across the two frequency bands of the radio. Also voice intelligibility during transmission and reception. This sale includes only the radio and the battery box.
Although the radio works perfectly on my work bench, but, since it is over 50 years old, this radio is being sold as is.
